Hatfield House - West Garden

We spent Easter Sunday afternoon looking around Hatfield House. They had an amazing collection of orchids all over the house when we were there, but I couldn't use the camera in the place. The camera came out in the West Garden, which is on the side of the Tudor Old Palace where Elizabeth I took refuge during her sister Mary's reign. I took a lot of photos of the flowers growing.

The Old Palace - the lawn in front of the hedge is spotted with cowslips.

But more importantly, look at these plants growing on the walls by the restaurant!

The espaliers are all over the inside court of the Old Palace.
